Prompt writing is not AI literacy
It is not about learning one particular tool either. The aim is for everyone who works with AI in the company to grasp its possibilities, limits and risks in their own jobs.
Article 4 in brief
Article 4 of the EU AI Act expects organisations that provide or use AI systems to take measures to support the development of AI literacy among their staff and other people who operate and use AI systems on their behalf.
Article 4(1) of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 as amended by Regulation (EU) 2026/1744.
Benefits of the course
Employees get a clear foundation they can use in their work, and the company an organised record of training.

Situations you run into in a normal week
Every chapter comes with a video, a text section and 7 practical scenarios. You pick a chapter, make a decision and find out straight away what was right and why.
AI in practice
Data, privacy and confidential information
Situation
You need to prepare a brief reply to a customer. You have their email and the contract with detailed information about the order.
You
Draft a reply to the customer based on the attached email and contract. Summarise their problem and propose a solution.
Assistant
Reply complete
The customer is dealing with a mismatch between the scope of service ordered and the scope delivered. Only some parts of the documents may be relevant for drafting the reply. Before processing anything further, it is advisable to verify that this tool is allowed to process the information in question and that you are not sending it data it does not need for the task.
The details in this reply are invented, which is an example of a hallucination.
What would you do?
Not gradedGood choice
What was risky
More data does not necessarily mean a better approach. The document may contain information that the AI does not need for the task and that the organisation does not want sent to that system.
Correct. A complete attachment may contain personal or confidential information that has nothing to do with the reply you need. A sound approach combines an approved environment with data minimisation.
Correct approach
Before uploading an attachment, check both the tool and how much data is genuinely needed.
You cannot type in the chat, you choose from the options.
Scenario 1 of 2 · A customer email as an attachment
AI in practice is not scored. The final quiz with 10 questions waits until the end of the course.
Two paths
Same course, alone or as a company
Both paths share the same content. On top of that the company layer provides records, administration and verification.
For individuals
You can take the course alone
You set up an account and work through 7 chapters, the practical part and final quiz. No card or subscription needed.
Free
An individual pays nothing for the course or the final quiz. The account stays active once you have finished.
Video and text for each of the 7 chapters
49 scenarios of AI at work
Final quiz with result
The personal certificate is yours, not your employer's. Only a company account creates the company training record.
For companies
Train your whole company
The course itself costs nothing here either. The company pays only for the records, the administration, the verification and its own internal AI rules.

FAQ
What you ask most often
Can we send our employees to the free course?
An employee may go through the course alone, as an individual. Personal use is what the free version is for, though: the moment an organisation trains its employees, it needs a company account. Without one the organisation gets no overview, no records and no company training record. The personal certificate also stays with the person, not with the company. A company training record is created only in a company account.
Is the course really free?
Yes. An individual pays nothing for the 7 chapters, the practical section or the final quiz. Payment starts with the company layer: people administration, records and verification.
Is AI Act Literacy an official programme of the European Union?
No. The responsiblo platform created it as an independent educational product, and its frame is Article 4 of the EU AI Act. Neither an EU programme nor a certification stands behind it, and it expresses no position of the EU authorities.
What is the AI in practice section?
It simulates what working with an AI assistant is like. Each chapter offers seven real situations: you choose an approach and immediately get an explanation of the right one. Nothing here is graded.
Does completing the course mean automatic compliance with the AI Act?
No. What the course gives is a practical AI literacy foundation together with a record of training. Compliance, however, is a wider question and depends on how the company works. The personal certificate comes from responsiblo and proves that a person finished the course. The AI Act itself sets up no certification scheme.
Can we add our own internal AI rules?
Yes. The company adds its own AI policy as one more text section, which the employee then confirms. It does not need to produce a video for that.
Will we get an overview of our employees?
Yes. The dashboard shows completion status, and depending on the plan you also get exports, reminders and expiry tracking. The company account sees how far each person has got, not the content of their answers.
Which languages does the course run in?
The course runs in Czech and English, and so does the practical section, prompts and assistant replies included. Further European languages are being added step by step.
